My name is Cathy Grove Russell, I founded Katahdin Grove in 2021 to satisfy a passion and fulfill a purpose.

The Passion: Producing healthy, humanely raised high quality Katahdin sheep.

The Purpose: Combine a lifetime of animal husbandry experience and a strong home-grown work ethic to earn an honest living doing what I love.

Katahdin Grove is not a high volume, commercial meat producer – we are a small boutique farm; a breeder of very high quality registered Katahdin rams and ewes. On our farm in Avera, Georgia each animal is a priority. From lambing to sale they are fed, pastured, medically treated and handled to ensure that they will be a perfect start or addition to your sheep operation.
